Sipadan Diving Experience

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to Alice and Dave for the wonderful holidays.
Thanks guys for the memories and everything.
Thanks Dave for your precious advice to me regarding my poor bouyancy in diving.
And also Alice, for talking to me and make me feel better throughout the trip.
And to my love, Bei. Thanks for creating such beautiful moments for me.

Our one week holidays started off with a mess and heartache.
We missed our first flight, due to some airport crew stupidity and rudeness.
And the best part is, for the next five days there would not be any flights available.
We were lucky enough to have the next day flight booked due to cancellations of some
passengers to Tawau for the next day, even though we were already feeling like hell,
Never mind, we thought.
At least we still get to go on with our plans even though we already missed one day in our packages.
Never wanna mention it again, it makes me feel sick every time I think about it.
Huge disappointment towards AirAsia crews and police officers.
You guys just made a fool of Malaysian by proving your rudeness to foreigners.

So, we were welcomed by Seaventures crews in the airport once we set foot in Tawau.
They then picked us up and after one hour van journey, we reached Semporna.
There weren't anything special to see in Semporna though.
We have tea in a mamak store nearby while waiting for the boat to arrive to
send us to our final destination, - Mabul Island.
The speedboat to Mabul Island took about 45mins.

Long journey huh, but it was all worthwhile.
Once we saw the dynamite structure of Seaventures dive rig,
our excitement were beyond words.

Seaventures dive rig is situated in Mabul Island, middle of the sea with no beach views or pubs.
It is meant for divers around the world and for non divers,
it might be boring bcoz besides diving from day to night,
you basically just hang around in the rig.

As I know, people in the rig are all divers and are mostly divemasters.
I was impressed by its sumptuous interior and you can have a 360 degree sea view.
We were greeted again by crews and were offered orange juice upon arrival.

We even met Craig, our previous instructor from Tioman Island.
He is now a master scuba diver trainer here in Seaventures.
He was shocked when he saw us when we arrived and jokingly said that we stalked
him from Tioman all the way here to Sabah.

We had our lunch and proceed to the cabins at deck 4.
It was a long way towards comfort zone.
Everyone was exhausted and hectic.
We were being briefed from the one of the crew in Seaventures about some rules & regulations.
Just a simple one though. Their service is beyond good.

The cabin was cozy and tidy with fully furnished two single beds,
bathrooms with attached hot water, few bottles of mineral water and its seaview from the small window.
How thoughtful.

We then changed into our dive suit to go for our first dive.
( to be continued... )
