First of all, Im not a politician nor an anti-country person.
I truly love the country I grew up in for 23 years and I will always do, with my future kids.
Malaysia will be 56 years old this coming August.
What a glorious number you have achieved, Proud of you Malaysia.
I remember when I was in primary school standard one,
my favourite subject was Pendidikan Moral.
Why?
Besides its colourful pages and the fact that it was taught by my favourite teacher,
I love stories.
Well, Pendidikan Moral taught us about how we should respect,
motivate and help each other in our daily lives.
Also the most crucial part is, it also mentioned about the beauty of our country Malaysia.
Specially highlighted was the combination of three races with different skin colours and cultures,
living under the same roof of Malaysia.
Multi racial and different languages are spoken.
Still, we all live in harmony and peace for many many years.
I clearly remember a page in the Pendidikan Moral textbook which mentioned
about a brief conversation between a Malaysian and a foreigner.
The foreigner asked, "How can three different races live together for so long in peace?"
"Simply because we know eventhough we are not born with the same religion, culture or skin colour,
but we are all Malaysians" says the Malaysian in the textbook.
I was touched.
Until today, I still remember this certain part and it was a fact I always have in my mind.
Im always proud to be part of this wonderful country, being admired by other countries.
But... that was then.
Day by day, as I aged, I realized there are many other things I do not understand.
I do not know why.
Why has this country turned into a world champion in corruption?
Why are there so many innocent citizens dead bodies being carried out from police station
without any medical explanation and official reports? Why?
Why must we rakyat Malaysia has to suffer from scary income taxes while our "big boss wife"
enjoying herself spending 6 billion ringgit for a diamond ring and not fixing her disgusting hair instead?
Those are our money. Sooner, it will be our children money.
They took them all.
What do you think that RM500 contribution to a low income household can do?
Mr.PM, you gave them money. You gave them OUR money.
What is the point of sending us a letter stating that we have received your "kind" contribution
of RM500 as if it sounded more like a threat to me?
You mean if we cast a vote for you this time, you will continue distributing money for
citizens with low income but at the other side claiming income taxes from people who worked
their asses off just to please your wife with a diamond ring?
We do not need your RM500 or RM250 nor RM200 offer for smart phones.
We do not need you to bring PSY to Penang to show him how disgraceful Malaysia is.
We do not care about what you did for us, because we know you were not sincere.
If these are what you claimed as Satu Malaysia,
then please show us!
We want a fair election!
We want a fair admission to universities for students, all races.
Not rejecting chinese and indian students who scored 10As for what they
have worked hard for, just to get into a university.
We want Malaysian rights, not Bumiputra rights.
Children are our future. Children are Malaysia's future.
Why rejecting our future? Why downgrading our country by letting in students with
Bumiputra rights without scoring as good results as others non-bumis?
Do you realize how many talented and smart students left Malaysia after bring rejected
and not turning back to their motherland? Why? Can we blame them?
Who can they complain to? And will their questions being answered?
I guess no.
When I go to Pulau Perhentian for diving last week,
a diver friend from Germany asked me, "I see there are alot of flags around Malaysia,
can you tell me what are those about?"
Ashamed, I felt. I answered," Well, those are flags from different political parties in Malaysia,
and our general election is around the corner."
"And you have to vote, will you?" he says.
"Yes, I will."
"Good, you're a Malaysian. You must do so."
Even mat salleh view me as Malaysian.
Not chinese girl or Malaysian chinese.
So why can't our people do that too?
In conclusion.
Vote for change.
You can make a difference.
